June 10th Recap / August 26th Event

Thank you all for coming out to game with us last weekend!  We had a great time!  Here's a recap of how things went:

We had 22 gamers at the event, about the same number as April.  Even better, a bunch of the attendees were new!  It's great to see fresh faces and to know our community is still growing.  We also had several long-time members that couldn't make it, and that means our future events are sure to be even bigger.

Congratulations to FlashIV and Firestar for taking 1st place in the Rocket League dropshot tournament.  If you're interested, you can grab the replays for the final match here: Game 1 and Game 2.

Photos for both last weekend as well the April 1st event have been added to our photo gallery.  We remembered to take a group photo this time, and it turned out great!  You can also take a look at the fun awards we made for Rocket League, as well as some of the other prizes we received from Bawls and CPU.

Our Discord server is still sort of under construction, but it seemed to work well during the event and we would like to see it used between LANs as well.  Anyone may join and get access to the Announcement and noob chat channels using this open invite. Anyone who has attended one of our LAN events gets moved to Member status with additional channels. Each event will have a dedicated channel for attendees to use during the LAN.  We're not using it much yet, but with your help it will continue to grow! Let us know if you have any suggestions.

We had so much fun that we've already reserved the room for our next event on August 26th.  We are looking forward to bringing you more information on tournaments, prizes, and any other plans for that event as we get closer to the date.  Until then, feel free to add your thoughts from last weekend as well as ideas for the future on our forums.

Happy gaming!
